“The secret is in the special clay sourced from my own field behind Hawthorn Tree 62. Code 16 (waiver signed with each pipe) states clay pipe smoking is restricted to two times per week. Only once (Saturday) is advised. Pipes will be confiscated if overused." Quoted in 1821.
